Director of People and Culture

The Director of People and Culture is strategically focused, with operational responsibilities, in the areas of talent acquisition and management, performance management, skill & capability development, and colleague engagement. An ability to lead and participate in business transformation is necessary such that the People and Culture function supports business growth and evolution while mitigating risk of external and internal claims or exposure to unfair and inconsistent application of process and policy.

Responsibilities 

  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor to Leadership in all Matters Related to Talent Development, Organizational Performance, Engagement And Culture, Leadership, and Strategic Planning
  • Drive the Creation, Execution, and Alignment of HR Initiatives as Part of the Overall Business Strategy
  • Work With Leaders to Develop and Execute Resourcing and Talent Strategy That Ensures We Have the Right People in the Right Place at the Right Time
  • Analyze and Interpret Qualitative and Quantitative Data to Recommend Solutions and Drive Continuous Improvement of Strategic Talent Priorities, to Include Performance, Retention, and the Colleague Experience
  • Provide Strategic Insight Into People Data, Guiding Business Leaders Through Workforce Planning and Effective People Strategies, and Supporting Strategic Business Objectives
  • Build Credibility With Leaders by Demonstrating an Understanding of the Business Strategy and Challenges, Aligning Short and Long-Term People Goals With the Strategy, and Leading/Driving Initiatives to Assist the Business in Achieving Success
  • Proactively Resolve Complex Business Concerns, Focused on Root Cause Analysis Delivering Strategic Business Insight to Guide Development of Programs to Support the People StrategyProactively Identify Opportunities for Continuous Improve­­­ment and Drive That Culture
  • Act as Proactive Change Agent, Coach Leaders to Effectively Manage Change
  • Implement Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, Quarterly Talent Reviews, Succession Plans, Colleague Engagement Survey, and Build a Culture of Feedback

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or a Related Field
  • 7+ Years of Progressive Experience in HR Disciplines With a Strategic Focus or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience in Successfully Leading Significant Change
  • Ability to Quickly Establish Credibility to Partner Effectively With Business Leaders and Colleagues to Define and Deliver Effective Processes, Programs, and Tools That Support the Business Goals
  • Demonstrated Ability to Build Credibility and Confidence With Executive Leaders as a Trusted Advisor
  • Analytical With the Ability to Evaluate Complex Data and Make Recommendations
  • Forward Thinking and a Continuous Process Improvement Mindset; Highly Effective Decision-Making and Judgment
  • Strong Understanding and Experience Working With Multiple Human Resource Disciplines Such as Colleague Relations, Compensation, Organizational Diagnosis, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, and State Employment Laws
  • Demonstrated Success Executing Organizational Change Programs as Delegated by Senior Management
  • Work Within a Matrix Organization; Achieving Results Through Effective Influencing and Collaboration
  • Unquestioned Integrity With Assertiveness, Presence, and Confidence
  • Excellent Influencing Skills at all Levels in the Organization and Competence in Making Timely, Effective,
    Principles-Based Decisions
  • Strong Communication Skills and Ability to Develop Reports and Recommendations for Departmental Heads and Management as well as Stakeholders on Various People Management Approaches, Strategies, and Solutions
  • Consulting Experience and/or Experience With Diverse Portfolio Management in a Fast-Paced Environment
