Katie combines her background in mass communications, marketing, English literature, and copywriting with her enthusiasm for behavioral science to optimize content and brand messaging for Lirio. As our in-house writer and editor, she sets and maintains Lirio’s brand voice, assists in the strategic framing of our messaging, integrates Lirio’s philosophies and values throughout all communication, guides content development, and oversees content quality standards.

Favorite artist: “J.K. Rowling, Eminem, Big Boi (OutKast, for that matter), Luda, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Elvis Presley, Shonda Rhimes, and many, many more…”

Favorite thing as a child: “Chocolate. Playing outside. Smelling like outside.”

Special hobbies/interests: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is my favorite … I could eat chocolate every day with every meal. Forever.”

Location: Originally from Bristol, Tennessee, Katie now lives in Knoxville.

Other: Katie loves rap music with exceptional lyrics and a good word search—“I can probably finish one faster than anyone you know.”

She has a chipoo (chihuahua-poodle mix) named Willa Mae who is very special and complex. Willa hangs out in Lirio’s Knoxville office nearly every day.
